Blowing a Gale

And freezing as well!

Last night had gale force winds on the south coast and we got buffeted around a bit. Was a bit worried that a few trees might go over in the park - but in the end only their gazebo was wrecked. It was slightly warmer today but the mornings have got down to about 0.5 degrees. See a few new photos.

Normanville

More Handyman Work

We've been back in the Fleurieu Peninsula for nearly a week and have been continuing work on the farmhouse - it's nearly finished and it's looking good. In between we've been visiting a number of small towns and sampling the vegetarian pasties. We've been slow with the blog as we used up our internet time doing genealogy searches! Khan and Rani are almost constantly in their coats as the weather is wintry - we have to coax them out of the back of the dual-cab each morning. Di is working on a bedspread that was partalliy completed by her late grandmother and which has been dormant for the last 30 years. The van continues to impress and it's a haven each evening when we come in from the cold. I virtually live in a brown cardigan (ie in some of the photo's) that mate RD gave me when I was sick in Newcastle - it's become my favourite. Still haven't fully completed the shots of the van interior as we're always doing something! ps Khan and Rani and now famous as the owner of the caravan park asked to use them in some promotional shots for the park - and so somewhere there will be photos of them in their coats sitting on our camping chairs. More photo's next edition!

Good to hear recently from ex Departmental colleagues CT, KD and LW.

Back in Adelaide

Goodbye Yorke Peninsula

After having a really great two weeks in the Southern Yorke Peninsula we're back in Adelaide. Spending a week here with family and getting the Mule serviced as well as a few accessories for the van. We are going to the Barossa Valley this weekend and I'm on the lookout for a mini-me wine barrel to store a drop of Port in (helps on these cold nights). Will try to post some photos of the inside of the van this weekend.

Southern Yorke Peninsula

Fossicking Around

We've given the fishing a slight break as our freezer is full - will get stuck back into it after the weekend. We've been touring around the foot of the peninsula checking out the little townships, looking in the infrequent second-hand shops and walking the dogs. There is a bit of action in Edithburgh currently due to the accidental sinking of a $5m cruiser - the salvage team are out again today attempting to re-float it.

Good to hear from the lovely ladies at Kirwan LWB. I guess you can't have charm, looks.....and computer skills. See new photo's.
